FreshChoice Opens in Green Island, Dunedin!
FreshChoice Green Island opened Tuesday 1st December to great delight of local residents. The ribbon was cut by Will, Kate, Annabel and Sam Moyle. Great grandchildren of Eric and Amelia Moyle who opened “Moyles” first grocery store in 1938.
The new supermarket has replaced the existing SuperValue on the same road and will continue to be owned and operated by John Moyle. All of the same friendly local staff have moved over to the new supermarket which has taken just over 8 months to build.
The Moyle family have been operating the supermarket in Green Island for over 50 years and are thrilled with the development. John Moyle says “the new FreshChoice supermarket will offer customers a wider range of goods, including an in-store local bakery, deli and produce”.
FreshChoice Green Island offers an extensive range of products as well as a modern design and state of the art features including electronic shelf labels. The new 1500m2 store is energy efficient with full LED lighting and has 87 carparks. Mr Moyle adds “FreshChoice Green Island offers a fantastic shopping experience and a brilliant work environment.”
The Moyle family have a proud heritage of contributing to the local Green Island community. FreshChoice Green Island will continue to support a number of local initiatives as well as the FreshChoice Community Fund which awards $500 each month to local causes.
