Cheesy Beef Burgers
Take the humble burger to new flavour heights with these cheesy beef patties. Paired with golden shoestring fries this combo is one not to be missed.
Ingredients
- 500g beef mince
- 600g frozen shoestring fries
- ¼ cup grated parmesan
- ¼ cup grated smoked cheddar
- 25g baby rocket leaves
- 2 tomatoes, thinly sliced
- 1/3 cup tomato chutney
- 1 red onion, thinly sliced into rounds
- 4 brioche rolls, split
Method
- Preheat oven to 230°c (210° fan-forced). Heat a large baking tray in the oven, spread with fries in one layer and cook according to packet instructions.
- In a large bowl, combine the beef mince and grated cheeses and season with salt and pepper. Mix lightly, shape into four burgers. Brush or spray the burgers lightly with oil.
- Preheat a large non-stick frying pan over medium-high heat; the burgers should sizzle when you add them to the pan. Cook for 6 to 7 minutes on each side or until cooked to your liking.
- Top the base of the rolls with rocket, tomato, beef pattie, chutney and onion. Replace roll top and serve with fries.
