- Hot Cross Bun Bread and Butter Pudding. Layer buttered slices of hot cross buns with custard and raisins into a baking dish. Bake in a moderately hot oven for 20 – 30 minutes until golden brown.
- Stuffed Hot Cross Bun French Toast. Thickly slice your hot cross buns and dip them into an egg mix made with 2 eggs, 50mls of cream and a tablespoon of icing sugar. Fry in a pan on both sides until golden brown.
- Crispy Hot Cross Bun pieces with Chocolate Fondue. Slice the hot cross buns into small chunks. Fry them until crisp in a pan with butter, fork them and dip into your favourite chocolate fondue alongside fresh fruit!
- Hot Cross Bun Stuffing for a Roast Dinner. A sweet savoury balance for stuffing into the cavity of a chicken or turkey.
- Yoghurt Parfaits. Halve and spread your hot cross buns, spread with apricot jam. Cut in half again and arrange in 4 tumblers with a few chopped tinned apricots. Top with Greek yoghurt, then sprinkle with brown sugar.
