Established in 2013, Behemoth Brewing Company kicked off as contract brewers. Their first independent brew happened at Twisted Hop, with major shoutouts to Martin and Lisa Bennett for their early support. They've brewed their concoctions in diverse spots like Twisted Hop, Beer Fountain (Hallertau/Liberty), Kereru, and more. Now, they proudly brew at their Dominion Road digs in Auckland's Mt Eden! From small beginnings to a growing team and beer range, they tip their hats to their contract partners.
Over 10 years, Behemoth has crafted 500+ unique beers (and counting). Many are playful one-offs, as they relish innovation with top-tier ingredients. As well as taking away a wide array of awards mostly recently at the Australian International Beer Awards in Australia & The Brewers Guild Awards in New Zealand, winning Champion Medium Brewery for the second year in a row & Champion International Medium Brewery, as well as a mountain of medals for best in category and for individual beers, with no plans to slow down on the horizon. The Behemoth crew aims to foster a friendly community around craft beer. Their brews are big on flavour, fun, smiles, and laughs, championed by their mascot, Churly, and their quirky styles.
