February 2023 Recipients

Congratulations to our February Community Fund Recipients

FreshChoice Omokoroa: gave $500 to the Omokoroa Golf Club Day. Omokoroa Junior Fishing Competition also received $447.15.

FreshChoice Papamoa: donated $500 to the Tahatai Coast School Breakfast Club. Another 4500 was given to the PiPS (People, Plants, Schools).

FreshChoice Te Ngae: provided $600 to support the 2023 Kids Day Out Variety Show. 

FreshChoice Greytown: $1000 was given to Joshua Taylor. Josh has been selected to represent NZ at the Special Olympics in Berlin in June 2023. He is the first member of Special Olympics Wairarapa to be selected for the world games. He does athletics-sprints and throws.

Josh has been working hard to fundraise $18,000 needed for the trip by selling raffles, sausage sizzles, hangis and lollies. He is also working hard training up to 6 days a week. This will be of great assistance towards his funds so he can go to Berlin and continue to inspire other Special Olympics athletes to achieve.

FreshChoice Barrington: donated $1000 to the Hawkes Bay Relief Fund to help the Ka Uruora Aotearoa Trust.

FreshChoice Ruakaka: donated $500 to the OTP Bowling Club and another $500 went to the Ruakaka Citizen of the Year. 

FreshChoice Papamoa: gave away $50 to Pink Ribbon. $250 was also given to the Papamoa War Memorial Trust.

FreshChoice Cromwell: gave away $1000 to the Cromwell BMX Club to assist 15 riders to compete in the National BMX Titles in Tauranga in March. 

FreshChoice Prebbleton: gave Biological Husbandry Unit Organics Trust $200 for their Organic College market Garden pilot project.
$100 went to the Holmes Park Croquet Club to sponsor the croquet club open day.
$80 was given to sponsor Matthew Fox for the Lincoln High School Young Enterprise programme.
$100 was received by the Lincoln Bowling Club as sponsorship of a tournament.
$200.00 was donated to Prebbleton School PTA to help a fundraising event for the school to purchase a basket swing.
$200 went to the Lincoln High School Senior Futsal Team for their national tournament in Wellington.
$120 was distributed to St Thomas of Canterbury Touch as a pathway for Team entry at the South Island tournament.

FreshChoice Richmond: gave $250 to Westport South School and another $250 was given to the Buller Vollyball Club. 

FreshChoice Geraldine: contributed to the South Island Charity Bike ride by donating $250. Geraldine RSA received $500 and the  Geraldine Voluntary Fire Brigade was given $250.

FreshChoice Half Moon Bay: contributed $150 to the Lions Club Meat Raffle. Half Moon Bay also supported the Cyclone Gabrielle Goods donation by contributing $140.63. The Burn Support Group Charitable Trust also received $150.

FreshChoice Takaka: gave $300 to Totally Kids Daycare, another $300 went to the Seeding Charitable Trust and $400 was given to the Wrinklies Express.

FreshChoice Roslyn: Foodbank received $180, Wakari Bowling Club was donated $288, North East Valley Bowling Club was given $250, and Eduk8 Otago Trust $282.

FreshChoice Leamington: gave Cambridge Primary School $750, Pukeatua School received $116, and Cambridge Community House were donated $150.

FreshChoice Parklands: donated $500 to Parklands Junior Rugby team and another $500 went towards the Hawkes Bay Relief fund.

FreshChoice Picton:  gave the Foodbank $1,137.61, Picton Senior Citizens received $60, Children's Distraction Bags were given $100. Pest Free Ngakuta Bay received $70, the Picton Dawn Chorus were given $200. Picton Primary School received $397.86 to support families to get school camp and winter uniforms. FreshChoice Picton donated to the Picton St John $70 and Waikawa Bay School $200.

FreshChoice Mangere Bridge: donated $500 to Potters House for Suicide Prevention. The Oceania Tag Cup U15s Mixed and U16 Girls teams received $500.
