Maple Bacon Hot Cross Bun Sandwich
Nothing screams Easter like hot cross buns, turn up the flavour with maple syrup & bacon.
Ingredients
- 1 tsp olive oil
- 8 streaky bacon rashers, fat trimmed
- 1 Tbsp maple syrup, plus extra to serve
- 4 fruitless hot cross buns, halved, toasted
Method
- Preheat oil in a large frying pan over medium heat. Add bacon and cook for 6-8 minutes or until crispy.
- Add maple syrup and cook for a further minute or until bacon is coated and sticky.
- Divide bacon among toasted hot cross buns and drizzle with a little extra maple syrup to serve.
